Feature: Donut Robot® Mark 6 Donut System

Belshaw's Mark 6 is the leading midsize donut production system. Compared with open kettle frying, Mark 6 makes donut production faster and easier with dramatically reduced labor costs. Less training is required to work the system efficiently, and more consistent quality is attainable. The system runs with much reduced strain and effort, and the operator does not need to stand in front of the fryer for prolonged periods. In addition, you can reduce shortening consumption by up to 50%, compared to kettle frying.

The Mark 6 system typically produces about 90 dozen yeast-raised donuts per hour. For cake donuts, the system uses the semi-automatic Type 'F' donut cutter to obtain up to 120 dozen per hour, of any variety.

Three levels of automation are available. The fully automated configuration, which includes automatic proofing, frying and glazing, not only reduces labor requirements, but is also excellent for exhibition-style production.

 

Mark 6 Standard system in operation

Standard Mark 6 System:

The standard Mark 6 sytem includes a 17-shelf Mobile Proofer and a Feed Table. For raised donuts, the rolled and cut product is placed on trays lined with polypropylene cloths. The trays are proofed (typically for about 30 minutes), then the polypropylene cloths are transferred directly to the Feed Table, which inserts the donuts into the fryer automatically. Donuts are gravity-fed to a glazing screen. Cake donuts are deposited with Belshaw Type F depositor.

Semi-Automatic System:

The semi-automatic Mark 6 includes a Belshaw Thermomatic proofer. A Feed Table is not needed.
